Barter to get a Business Website or IT/Cyber Security Consulting Services

You need a business website, but with the current increases in costs of doing business, you cannot afford world class services in the website, marketing and Business consulting market. We can help – but let’s make sure it makes sense first.

DISCLAIMER: We are an agency. This post is written by a collective of our team members. We support this post, and will issue a contract based on any agreement made by the management team member that has authorized a barter arrangement. Please read carefully. If you enter into a contract with our company, including a barter agreement, we AND you are legally bound to those terms. This offer is not applicable to individuals, only businesses with some existing standing in the local community, or which can deliver legitimate services over the internet or remotely. Some items on the list may have to be negotiated further, as they pertain to a single individual or small team of our employees.

The reason this is possible is that we have economies of scale. We own our servers, or have excess capacity on third party hosted servers. We have talent and labor that is underutilized. We are in a position to take a “cash flow” cut, in order to engage with businesses to build relationships and help our local communities. We are currently serving two major regions, and are open to remote (global) agreements (We have offices in Southern California, and in the North Luzon Region of the Philippines). We will enter into any barter arrangement as a legal, typical contract, as we would with any other business as an agency.

Our offer and position on bartering our services for your products and services

We can trade a new business website or work on your existing business website in exchange for your services and/or products in a barter arrangement. We can also trade consulting services including IT or planning services, SEO or Marketing services, Sales leads or Cyber Security related services in exchange for your goods or services in a barter-type arrangement. We can – with an advanced contract provide some work on projects that pertain to data security, infosec, or DEVSECOPS, trade our services in those arenas, in exchange for services or goods from your business, as an arrangement of barter. We may or may not, at our discretion, and noted in the contract we ultimately agree to, be able to provide third party services, or integrations, in exchange for your bartered services or products.

Do you need a website but cannot afford one because world class work is expensive? We can work out an arrangement with you to provide you with a website or any of our typical business consulting services. In exchange, we would like to barter for your goods or services.

The team at Republic Of are credentialed, proven marketing experts; some with 20 years in the IT/WebDev/CyberSec arenas. Several of us have worked on Fortune 500 projects for more than 15 years. We have a proven track record, real social and web 2.0 reviews and can prove our prowess. We are also willing to extend our end of the service in certain agreements first, to work with the right offers. We, as collective professionals own in whole, or part, multiple agencies for this type of work and can prove our success in the space. Republic Of is a company that is comprised of many professionals as a cohort of marketing and IT related managers. 

We offer services and a finished product that is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above the projects offered on typical barter related websites, like Craigslist generally. You also get access to our staff (if needed) and many years of diversified experience working with multi-national companies, start-ups and local small businesses if you engage with us in a barter arrangement. We can provide ongoing SEO and marketing copy/content work and high level security-enhanced infrastructure and consulting for the right businesses. Our team has legitimate credentials and C-suite level experience at small and medium business levels.

We can build e-commerce or static/dynamic websites or perform professional IT or Cyber Security related services for your Small Business in the Southern California area in exchange for anything related to the list of items/services below. We are not interested in unsolicited offers (items or services not related to the list stated below), but if you have a legitimate business that you want to grow and protect, and you are in some market segment listed below, please make an offer/suggestion, and let’s vet each other. (Typically we do work in the 5k-150k range for Small and Medium sized businesses around Southern California. We have many national and international clients and larger company clients as well).

You can get a VERY nice website on WordPress for example for less than 10k (maybe much less) and ongoing premium level hosting and load balancing for less than a couple hundred dollars a month with a range from $200-5000 for monthly services (like SEO/Marketing/content production and hosting/infrastructure). It’s possible to get a simple website of top quality for $3-4k in value and hosting for about $100/month in value on the lower end side. We are willing to negotiate. Please note this is not our typical offering, but is built to the same standard, and can be negotiated on. 

This offer is expected to create a deluge of emails/texts/calls, but we would welcome real world considerations, and are absolutely willing to be flexible. We can provide samples/a consult/some directional advice if you make a realistic offer, and want to see if we are the real deal- and suitable for your project. We can do this via zoom or other method.

We realize that it seems like we are being picky. We are. We have many existing clients and have excellent lead generation for our own growth. We are not engaging in an offer like this to cover our costs. We are engaging in this barter type of offer because we have excess capacity and already pay for our infrastructure which has excess capacity, or scale up/scale out capabilities. We are being picky because we want to work with people who want to take our work seriously and use it to make more money in their business, in exchange for the services and goods they offer their traditional customers. We are not interested in offering pie in the sky advice that doesn’t work on day one. We are also not interested in wasting your or our time. Please understand that we are going to vet your offer well, to ensure it meets our standards as well.

If you want to do WebDev, Cybersecurity and Marketing properly but cannot afford a 20K website and hundreds or thousands of dollars in monthly costs, We have infrastructure, premium skills, and can provide the whole package. If you have extra materials, are willing to do some after hours labor or have some service that our team members may be interested in, we are willing to match dollar for dollar in barter. You will not have to come out of pocket for anything, except items like domain (<$20/year) or third party integrations (you want to retain ownership anyway). Once we have finalized our exchange you keep your assets – they are fully transferable (even if you paid zero dollars). We keep nothing if you desire to move on after the fact. We also have a team of local and remote professionals that can service the website/infrastructure going forward. We can work together indefinitely on projects that make sense for both of our companies, and the management team member that entered into an arrangement with you.

We may also be willing to come out of pocket for certain barter arrangements, or work on a long-term basis with real world contracts and properly structured assets/tools/services.

We are able to provide samples, in addition to what is listed on our website if needed, but we would like to pre-qualify that we are a good fit before we vet each other purposefully. We are local to Southern CA (Inland Empire and San Diego) and can travel up to a couple hundred miles to meet with you if we mutually decide it is necessary. Our infrastructure is West Coast based for CLOUD and Local for bare metal systems. We also have non-local team in South East Asia and India which can be used as needed. We are generally expecting this to be a remote type arrangement, though we will consider travel/on-prem for specific needs to help your business.

If it’s not on the above list we may not be very interested (but may be able to provide you with services at a discounted rate for a couple of you depending on the ongoing expectations).

We ARE NOT interested in the following:

Illegal services; massage services that aren’t credentialed or legit; marijuana related products that are not in a prepackaged shelf stable format (e.g. not interested in bud/flower/derivatives that are one-off productions)

People who don’t take their business or web footprint seriously

People who don’t want to work on a legitimate/legal/transparent//ethical level

We know this is long-winded, but we take what we do seriously and have built decorated careers on that work, and we’d like to find people who can use our specific skills/infrastructure.
